The new hospital school

When children are hospitalized, their lives are put on hold. They risk falling behind both academically and socially. The hospital school at Mary Elizabeth's Hospital offers playful learning facilities and a mobile school program.

A playful way of learning

It is crucial for the development and well-being of children and young people that they can stay in school during hospitalization. The school at Mary Elizabeth's Hospital offers educational and playful learning facilities, as well as a mobile and digital offer for children who can't get out of bed.

The new hospital school at Mary Elizabeth's Hospital is centrally located on the 7th floor near the pediatric wards. The school's modern facilities and innovative approach enable more hospitalized children and young people to participate, including those isolated in their wards, using a creative, mobile learning concept.

“Our support for the Foundation for Mary Elizabeth's Hospital is an investment in children's lives and futures.”

The social element of the school

It can be difficult to make up for learn ing lost because of illness, and furthermore exclusion from the normal life that school represents can increase the feeling of being lonely and different. The hospital school is based on the overall vision of having the whole person at the center and ensuring the well-being of the whole family, which is why the social element that children and young people get from going to school is also included in the hospital school.

The hospital school is financed in collaboration with Frececo.
